Danny Zlatnik guides clients on intellectual property issues, including protection and registration of trademarks, copyright, trade secret protection, and licensing agreements. Danny works with clients on their overall branding strategy, counseling them on their choice of brand names and logos, packaging design, labeling, and how to refine marketing materials. These efforts help clients maximize the value of their brands while complying with cannabis-specific legal requirements and reducing the risk of costly infringement allegations. In the event of a dispute, whether concerning intellectual property or any other rights, Danny draws on years of commercial litigation experience to zealously enforce and defend those rights.
Danny earned his Bachelor of Science from Stanford University and his Juris Doctor from UC Berkeley School of Law, and was admitted to the California bar in 2008. Prior to joining Rogoway Law Group, Danny practiced commercial litigation with a focus on intellectual property disputes, including trademark, trade secret, and utility and design patent cases. He has also represented clients in contract, business tort, antitrust, defamation, and unfair competition matters. Danny has worked on multiple trials, including helping Apple Inc. win one of the largest-ever patent verdicts in Apple v. Samsung, in which Apple accused Samsung of copying the iPhone and iPad designs.
