Illinois Extends Submission Deadline for Adult Use Cannabis Craft Grower, Infusers, and Transporters Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

On March 12, 2019, pursuant to an Executive Order issued by Illinois Governor JB Pritzer, the deadline for submitting applications for Illinois Adult Use Cannabis Craft Grower, Infuser, and Transporter licenses to the Illinois Department of Agriculture has been extended in response to the growing COVID-19 pandemic.

The original submission deadline was March 16, 2020, but has now been extended to March 30, 2020. Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, the Illinois Department of Agriculture is asking applicants to submit their applications via certified mail through the United States Postal Service. All applications must be postmarked by March 30, 2020. Submissions made via UPS, FedEx, or other mail delivery services will not be accepted.

Completed applications for Illinois Adult Use Cannabis Craft Grower, Infuser, and Transporter licenses must be mailed to the following address:

Per the Illinois Department of Agriculture’s website, fingerprints previously submitted with craft grower, infuser, and transporter license applications do not need to be resubmitted.
